I moved to windows 7, but my telnet client will not connect to the twx proxy on 127.0.0.1. Any suggestions?

The very first time you run TWXProxy.exe Win7 asks you whether or not to allow the app access to the network. You need to say yes to the Public Network option

Curious.... did the TWX / Win7 issue get fixed I thought most of the people that were using Win7 were running TWX under a virtual machine ?

The newest releases have fixed that, yes. They use a different menu system that doesn't have the bug.

Alright thanks Sing I been holding off installing Win7 since I had never seen a permanent fix, I will search the forums for a copy then.

Wait for EP to release the next ver. He's got some major improvements he's pushing down the pipe.

And if your system supports it, you can always put virtualbox on 7 and run XP under it if you don't
like the new menu. It's a little round-a-bout, but with the right settings it works just fine.

Your problem is probably the listening port. The newer builds default to 0, which clearly won't work. You probably want to change it to 23. It is on the 2nd tab of the setup menu I believe.

23 is the connect port to most twx (some are 2002) I would use 500.

Goto control panel
select programs
select programs and features
select turn windows features on or off ..is on the far left

from the List Dialog that pops up, Turn on the TELNET-CLIENT. You might have to reboot, but you shoudl be good to go
