I am starting to play around with scripting again, before I return to gameplay after a number of years out of the loop. When I was playing and scripting XIDE was still handling TWX Proxy and near the end of my tour EP had taken over. I lost track of all the comands and such that XIDE cut out of the Proxy except for backwards compatibility, and some were put back in in later versions and some were not. And I don't know what EP has done as far as putting commands back in, changing how they work, etc.

So I was just wondering, is the scripting help html with TWX Proxy up to date as far as what commands and such are active and which are only for backwards compatibility? Or if not, has someone started doing new documentation that tells what commands and such are still meant for use in the latest version of TWX Proxy, etc.?

I would like to make the learning curve as short and easy as possible for getting back into scripting. Thanks.

Thanks Sing. So the commands and such that it notes are there only for backwards compatibility, you shouldn't really use them when writing a script? Am I correct in thinking that this is because they were replace by other commands or whatever that are a better way of doing things? Thanks.

There are a few commands in 2.04 are that there just for backwards compatibility, yes there are alternatives. Not sure I've ran into many of those tho.
