I'm interested in hearing what utility scripts players would most like to have written or improved (or shared).

Please provide suggestions and/or vote at the following page:
Vote for TWX Script

I've added a few ideas to get us started.

Thanks,
+EP+

Well, I tried using your blog website and I can't get it to post a suggestion. I even registered as a user and it never shows up. Oh well, I'll do it here in more detail.

Universal Data File Script:
A script that can query and create data files in a universal format that can be used by other scripts. Sort of like Rammars probe script does, only it just creates the files with the sector numbers to grid/explore/probe. The script could include such features as weeding out or including sectors that are unfigged/figged, mined/unmined, number of warps in/out, port type, etc...

Would be nice to have a script that created universal data files that all scripters could use with thier scripts in .ts form.

i would like to see a base buildin script that works on bot and can be used by red or blue it would wsst for red and wtrade for blue when it collyed the planets it would know if it was fed safe or not and you could pick what planet you want it to build it could also massupgrade all planets it made

also need a script to mass upgrade whole base not just the sector you are in it would read what planets you have for you and your corp and then upgade them all

Thanks for the feedback so far.

BigD, when I click on the link, there is a "Make a Suggestion" box on the right, which you can type in and submit. It doesn't require an account or anything. Let me know if anyone else is having an issue.

Rev, that is an easy script, but it require TEdit access ;)

EP: Further explainations of scripts I'd love to see (cause posting comments in the page you made is difficult due to length limitations) And if these scripts already exist and I just dont know about them... please point me in the right direction!

1) Planet Shield Loader... this is self-explanitory I think. I want a script where I can set a desired number of planet shields I want to have, and make the script automate the purchase/transfer process. Should allow for both blue and red movement options, and to do multiple planets in a sector.

2) Mine Deployment... I've seen scripts where it auto drops armid/limpets/figs as you move, etc. But I want to automate the process of deploying mines in my bases. So I should be able to enter in the various sectors in my base, decide how many mines of each type (armid and/or limpet as well as whether they should be corp or personal) I want per sector, and boom, it automates the process of purchasing & deploying mines, and moves to the next sector as appropriate and repeats until all desired sectors have the correct number (and type) of mines. Should be both blue and red movement friendly.

3) Terra Milker. You stated that this type of script exists... so if it does, I need it! but what I'm specifically referring to is this: A terra milking script (such as "terra farmer' which is on Grimy's) that can pick up a desired number of collies per landing. This is because, in a particular game where I play at, terra is totally depleted and colonists can only be had by grabbing collies the second they regen. There are ALWAYS people getting collies, so I cant wait for 120 (or whatever full holds might be), I need to get them 9 or 15 or 25 collies at a time. I havent seen any script (yet) that allows me to land, grab 9 collies per landing, then repeat until holds are full, drop em off at base, and come back. I realize that in a turn game this is a waste of turns, but theres no other way. If this script exists.... I NEEEEEEEED IT :)

thats what terra farmer duz it sits at terra lands and picks up what ever colly is there and wait do it again tell it has holds full then fly to base and drop them off you need to be fed safe to do this cuz it twarps there and back

eh? Mine just lands once, picks up whatever collies are available, goes back to planet, dumps, and tells me not enough collies left on terra to continue. I downloaded the most recent version of the script.

Not a script suggestion but a feature for TWX how bout implementing TWXSyncServer or whatever it is called so corps can have a "real" time view of the universe.

Guess you would have to get together with earth and find out the format the SyncServer uses
FWIR it is straight xml but it's been a few months since I tried the Sync Server.

Now for the script suggestion..... Implement your Perfect Haggle into delphi and make it a built in command.

Why not just write the script? If you are a fed safe blue with a commish, it would be very straight forward and a good script to start learning with.
1. Get current (base) sector
2. Get the planet number
3. Enter how many cols you want per trip
4. Calculate the ore needed for a round trip
5. Set the ore source (and then get ore)
6. Go to dock
7. Grab cols, repeat until holds full
8. Setup move to base
9. Check for twarp lock
10. Go / Land / Drop Cols / Get Ore and back to dock

Give it a try and ask questions. The above is quick and dirty - a lot of things you could add such as minimum turns to stop at and cash level (if grabbing from a port) We need people to learn the how-to of writing scripts.
