I am not now and have never been big on the use of scripts, but the galaxy "is-a-changin", as they say, and just to be competitive you have to use all this "new fangled" stuff, "Thunder" using the alias "Schwartzeneger" and "tripple h", joined my corp on UTW, and took us to victory, all credit goes to him and "tripple h", AMAZING players! But back to the question at hand, is there ANY advantage to using M()Mbot as a Solo? And if there is, please elaborate for us the "scriptually impaired" lol.

Keeps you relogged, can help you manage ur defenses, acts as an umbrella scripting organizing several useful scripts into one.

Whether its m()m or stand-alone scripts, it would be tough to go up against someone using scripts if you were not. Scripts/macros are definitly faster then our human hands/brains can compute and type/activate particular commands.

Your best bet is to play games that have rules against scripts. There are a few out there, not many but ive seen some.
Whether your playing solo or not, I say yes there are advantages to m()m or any other bot/stand alone script opposed to not using them.

Everyone has a different POV and different feelings on the game, how ever you like to play is how you should!

As Sing stated, as a solo the bots give you quick access to several scripts basically by menu selection. I am not a fan of bots for corp play as is evidenced by my postings. As a solo player they are just a menu system and also provide some of the more essential script types in an easy to use (game-in-a-box) method. The best bet for the "scriptually impaired" is to learn the very basics of scripting so you can modify a script to meet a specific situation. If you decide to modify a script, make a backup, or three of the original........

Ok Promethius, that seems to have made up my mind, I'll see how I fare in a few games using my old tactics and tools, and if the times are that different where its no longer fun to do things the way I used to, I'll adapt.

A lot will depend on the games you choose. If you're picking games where everyone solos, you won't have a huge problem, just get used to dodging fotons and pdrops. If you're up against a corp, it won't matter either way.
