Howdy all, I am not going to be able to support the MOMBot code any longer, as I no longer have the time to play. Lonestar has graciously agreed to take over any new versions/support items in the future. I will let him explain how he wants to handle any feature requests/fixes. Thanks Lonestar! MD |

First let me say that I've learned a great deal as a result of studying Mind Dagger & Bounty Hunter's Code and scripting techniques. It has always been alot of fun and extremely educational contributing when and where I could to what is the best collection of public scripts TradeWars will probably ever see. If I'm not mistaken MD and BH have together spent about 10years developing and testing: ideas; tactics; scripting innovations, which ultimately brought us the M()MBot. It's going to be a great challenge picking up where MD and BH have left off. I have many ideas for additions, and fine-tunings. I can't wait to get started on them!! Everyone should feel free to contact me (ICQ: 240-630-042, YAHOO: myoptik, EMAIL: myoptik@yahoo.com), with ideas, problems, or general questions on Bot Commands/Modes. Please realize that my 'key time' and 'scripting time' has diminished to prob just a couple hrs/day. |

Sorry to pee in your cheerios but on my computer the latest version fubars with a can;t cut and replace text line XXXX I forget. I I'MD both you and MD and got no response. Shows what kind of dedication you 2 have towards updating.... Sorry I will use the older version till the bugs I reported are fixed or even give me a reply.... I might even be able to help debug code. But I'm not in the inner circle and can't offer constructive critiism therefore I am delegated to the Ignore list of you 2.... Suck it up I have some ideas but being ignored is an insult towards the community that has only wants to improve twx and any scripts written for twx. Might I also throw another insult out here? You guys who have slaved over MOM-BOT are brilliant but you lack some important people skills. LISTEN TO THE USERS... A bug report or a request to be added to your IM list is probably more important than adding a new feature. My HMO tha and a 5.00 bill will get me a cup of coffee at starbucks |

Maniac wrote: Sorry to pee in your cheerios but ... You're peeved about my comment re you being off your Meds in Grimys Forum, Mr. Maniac? hehe I think I remember talking to you about a problem. But I'm not sure, I try to help alot of people with the mombot and my own script collection. Anyways the one error/problem you referenced looks like what occurs when you install the most recent Bot over an older Bot-version. That error occurs when the latest Bot tries to read the Ship-stats file generated by the older version. Delete all the mombot generated game files and restart it --including the game CFG file. MD mentioned this: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=20190&p=176304&hilit=delete#p176304 If you ask me somethign and I don't repsond, just ask again or jog my memory. If this is a problem for you then there's nothing more I can say. Real life leaves me with a couple hrs/day to enjoy this game. Real life is also what has pulled MD and BH from the game and the bot. So. put on a happy face and be patient. no one is ignoring you.. What you enjoy using was very private, up until about 5mths ago. MD and BH created it and worked on it for a long time. You are not using Corporate software, there is no warrenty, there is no 1-800-MOM-BOT.. I think I tried to help you (among several people), but couldn't. you have ideas!! thats awsome. The script was designed to allow for people with ideas to add them to their own public version. N.B. Couple weeks ago someone did contact me via icq (unauthorized chat request), and I closed the chat window and lost who it was that 'called' me. Was that you? N.B.B. I don't keep ICQ/Yahoo loaded 24/7. My pc can't take it. besides yahoo has been very buggy of late.. and ICQ loves to eat up bandwith showing me Adverts. |
