 Is TWX Proxy 2.04 (Final) backwards compatiable with previous scripts or must they be recompiled? And if so, how do we go about compiling a script bank of hundreds of scripts to make them executable...?

Mostly backwards compat. How do you recompile ur script bank? Use twxc.com and dir /B > whatever.bat, and create your own batch file.
