Ok, see, I have this friend, and he was saying to me the other day "Mouse" he says "what's a good macro recorder to use?" Keep in mind, this friend of mine, he's practically computer illiterate. Now, naturally several good macro programs came immediately to mind, but I thought to myself "self" I thought, "why not ask the lads at EIS?"

So, what would you all recommend?

The one in SWATH is actually pretty nice I guess.

Traitor wrote a nice one for TWX that you can find on http://www.grimytrader.com called "Traitor's Macro Mangler"

The recorders are good, but you will want to eventually learn to write them by hand.  The recorders will help with learning.  I believe Sing has a macro tutorial on navhaz.com.

Do I have to actually write them by hand or can I use the keyboard?

Swath lets you use the KB. But you can't get all the nuances w/ just your KB, sometimes it helps to pre-write them.

lol, use the KB and enter the keystrokes manually w/o a recorder. Now if you figure out a way to get them into the system by actually writing on paper, let me know how that works out.

Maybe he has one of those new notebooks where you write on the screen and it decifers hand writing. lol

My handwriting doesn't translate well for much of anything.
Glad my kids didn't take after me in the lack of skill in writing/drawing - they took after my wife in those areas and is why they've sold paintings/drawings.
My only creativity seems to be in "101 ways to end up #SD#".  The latest incident being one posted on how to moth an L4 with a pod.
