both times this has happened to me when getting a port report. at this point, you're still connected to the game, but if you disconnect from the twgs, you get this:

Disconnecting from server...

Computer command [TL=00:00:00]:[1234] (?=Help)?
Connection lost.

Warning: This database is corrupt or does not exist. No data is available.

You must have an uncorrupted database selected to connect to a server

after this you have to delete the game profile in twx and create it again. twx gives you an error when you try to recreate the database from scratch, but if you try again it works.

Yep I get that all the time, too, in the exact same spot. What I do is simply go back into twx and re-select the database. It re-opens it and everything continues fine from there.

Bah, this is a classic case of operator error

Sigh... I guess my hiatus is about up. I'll get to work on a 2.04a update to address a few such bugs.

Thanks,

as a new twx user, i think a glaring omission is port data import. here, i've been emailing port data to players for years assuming that twx could import it.

I'm not sure how often people email port information to one another. I've never seen it done, other than in an entire .twx file. What export format were you using? I'm not opposed to adding it if it's needed, just never heard it mentioned.

the only port info I send all the time to others is upped ports, but that can be done with datamining scripts to create the file as well
