Team Kraaken is happy to announce a sector tracker script to attempt to find that pesky moving planet. Based on Primary Flee sectors from Stbot Runaway function.
Start Search Sector parameter is $parm1 and Broadcast option is $parm2 on/off (default is off) which will broadcast the closest 20 possible sectors over subspace. Mombot module only.
The standalone version uses your current sector as a start search sector.
Possible Flee sectors are written to a file for your viewing pleasure.
Available for download from Navhaz.com and Grimy's in Zip file format.
Mombot help file included.
Thank you for visiting the Team Kraaken Script Emporium and Have a nice day!.

For those curious, stbot's runaway looks for figged sectors with figged adjs in either DEs or tunnels that are between 5 and 12 hops from the original sector.

Since you can't be certain of what enemy sectors are figged the best you can really do is look for unfigged DEs and tunnels with unfigged adjs that are within the right range.

From there it's random. It doesn't plot to the closest sector, so it could be any that match the criteria... distance is only a factor for determining acceptable sectors, not for which sector is eventually chosen.

Not worthless, really. Just anyone w/ oz's sector finder has been doing this for a while. New players might find it useful, I wrote my own version of this a long long time ago using EP's bfs routine.

Well if your doing planet runaway.....its beginning of the end anyways. I'm curious to give it a spin tho, this old dog is always looking for a new trick     And I will agree newer players will probably find it of some use, depending on the ease of implementation. I find that parrot has pretty good help section w/ most of his scripts.

And as they get more experienced, they will find the value of data mining scripts.
