OK I have had a problem with the ck_shipcap script that requires you to run ck_shipstats file. People have had workarounds to add alien ships to same file. But I ran into a problem tonight while testing out an edit for a corpie. First I manually added the ship stats to the file and kept getting a message I have no information on that ship. Then I went into tedit and made ships show up on CC screen, still had same problem. I originally thought that it might be some ansi codes that were interfering with the ship cap, but that was not the problem. The problem was that these particular ships had full names that were 4 words. I took off the last word while leaving everything else the same and lo and behold I ran script successfully. Before I start a flamewar let me preface this with the only reason I am posting is if anyone else has had this same kind of problem here is a workaround when we can't fix the original script. |

The ship you're in... the c;q info, has to be listed in the shipstat file. Are you getting the name of the ship from the c;q or the I? |

Thanks Maniac. If I remember correctly I had the same problem with the ascian boat.... slept a couple of hours since then tho. |
