TWX Proxy 2.04 (Final) is now available for download at http://www.grimytrader.com

This is the RELEASE version of TWX Proxy 2.04.

All known bugs have been fixed, no less than 20 commands have been added, and some of the most important internal processes have been optimized to improve performance.

Just to hightlight some of the new or improved features...

*** Breadth-first searches have never been easier, thanks to a new command, getNearestWarps, which creates an array of sectors sorted from nearest to farthest. All that is left is stepping through this array checking your near-search criteria.

*** getCourse and getDistance have been tweaked to offer roughly a 10x speed increase over pervious versions.

*** There is now an internal avoids list that is used for all of TWX's internal plots, which getCourse and getNearestWarps (among others) take into account.

Many more changes and enhancements documented in the Changes.txt and Script.html files, so please read thoroughly.

I hope you all enjoy this release as much as I've enjoyed developing it.

Bro, since you're early days as a player, I always enjoyed when you released a new version of your scripts to us lowly wannabe scripters.

Since you took over the TWX project, I have been impressed with how you stayed true to the nature of the game, and allowed a new level of play for all, time and time again.

I'm sure you had help from many players who frequent this forum, and I just want to say thanks to the lot of ya for being there to help this game grow in it's attempt's at strategical superiority.

I know I for one was of no help. Just a question or 20 whenever I decided to open up a .ts file. Just wanted to say a thanks to all who continue to develop the weapons we have at our disposal.

Very much appreciated EP!  ..thanks for your hard work. Though, with all the added cmds and enhancements why you don't call it Version 3.0!
...either way, I think it's high-time that the admins at http://www.grimytrader.com create a 'TWX 2.04 Final' Script platform for deployed scripts.
Thanks again

Ditto what everyone else has said, and my .02 worth.
I always appreciate it when a programmer/scripter shares with us that don't have that skill (yet ) so we can further enjoy the game.
Now to get some of those scripters that develope new stuff with your enhancements to share with us

Appreciate the work. One question regarding the database, will it work with the current 2.04 version. I would like to switch over as soon as possible, but want to make sure I don't hose the database.

I see you have constructed a new TWX. Your skills are complete, indeed you are powerful as the Emperor has foreseen.

Thanks for the feedback and encouraging words. I'd like to thank Singularity and Parrothead for testing the last few builds for bugs. Also, I mention them here so they can share the blame if any slipped through

Seriously, thanks guys for the help and encouragement. Thanks to all of the people who reported issues with the beta version. I believe that you'll find all reported problems fixed. And a special thanks to Traitor for his past testing and ideas.

I have lots to say about the new features, whenever I have more time. I'd like to assemble the various scripts that I created to test the new features, and release them as a sort of demo script pack, which would probably provide more insight into the useage of new commands than the script.html script reference.

Also, I'll be releasing the source files for this release in the next day or two for anyone interested.

Not to be whining but it still pops an exception error when closing. Unless I am missing something
