The following has also been posted to my website at rgstats.com

rgTWspy is an application that lists all users connected to a TWGS server. It shows which node and game the users are on. It is for WAP enabled cell phones. If you have an internet package for your cell phone, now is the time to use it! Just goto this url: rgstats.com/rgtwspy

Most protocols do not require the http:// in front of the url, so if the above url fails try the fully qualified url: http://rgstats.com/rgtwspy

I currently only list 3 servers and my server (RogueGalaxy) is not hosting active games just yet (but will be in about a week). Try option 2 or 3 to see a good list of users on an active server.

SysOps - if you want your server added to my list, just reply to this topic or send an ICQ message to me at 244491484. Be sure to include servername, url or ip address, and port number.

Why do I find this useful? As a sysop it is nice to see that my server is up and responding if I am away for an extended period of time, etc. As a player, it is good for checking to see if my long running script is still going (meaning I am still connected) while I am at work behind a firewall.

Remember, this is a cell phone app, trying the link in a pc-based web browser will not work. Enjoy!

Outpost-4 welcomes the new app for cell phones, and would be happy to join the list. We have two servers.

Go ahead and put mine on your list as well. This sounds promising, and hope it catches on for players and sysops alike.

May be adding a second server soon.

Vulcan,

It is not working for your server just yet. Do you have a custom splash screen or anything like that? If so, I will just need to modify the login script for your server in order to make it work. It shouldn't be a problem, but I am at work now and behind a firewall. I will try and get yours working tonight.

Thanks!
Orion

Got yours working too Vulcan. Your initial menu does not end with the standard "? for menu" text. I added an option so I could just place whatever text the menu ends with for each individual server, so the app now knows when to send the # command to list all users when connected to your server.

Thanks, that was good QA work

Please add Runaway Proton at telnet://runawayproton.com:23 to your list. I think this is a cool idea. Thanks for putting it together!

I've been unable to download your app from your site. Not big on Cellphone software, am I doing something wrong?

Guys for anyone with Verizon as their cell phone provider, let me tell you, we have a $5 dollar package which includes unlimited Mobile Web 2.0 surfing. So you can check this site at anytime from your Verizon handset. If your intrested in adding this to your cell phone, please contact me, i'll give you more details...

Geez, sorry Proton, I didn't see that there was a page two for this topic

I may have caused the confusion by calling it an app, it is not a downloadable app. There is no .jad file to download. It is simply a web servlet that spits out wml. So you access it with your cell phones web browser (wap 1.0 or 2.0 both work). Let me know if you still have trouble. Post here or ICQ me.
