I am doing a capture of the bubble listing from the twx menu and when I copy the output to a text file the total bubble listing does not match the total bubbles found ie 800 bubbles found but only 400 listed.
Does this sound like corruption of the database maybe or is there a bug in TWX I am not aware of?
I am processing the ansi output using Putty to capture and so far I have yet to get any of several games to match up the displayed count.
Not a big deal since I am appending the Putty cap file and excluding using the Gateway sector so I do not get dupes. Anyhow its just kinda strange.

is it always 1/2 of the total? Also, have you compared the files, is it skipping every other sector, counting each sector twice, putting two on one line, reading only 1/2 of the original files, etc.?

No nothing like that it just always comes up short and the more times I run it with different settings using the Program tab and changing maximum bubble size 200 to 100 to 50 to 20 to 10 to 5 it actually will find more with lower settings. As far as I know it has always done this. The only reason it is bugging me now is that I am breaking the numbers down and finding it more disconcerting. I get the biggest differences in games where bubbles over 30 or so have been allowed or maybe created.

Ohh, maybe it lists the total actually found, but is only writing those that match your field request?

No RexxCrow you can try it yourself using an editor that will give you a line count and use $db. Then copy the output into your editor and you will see the total bubbles including gapped ones and your line count should be the same as the Total listed. Hmmm field requests ... no if that were the case then I wouldn't find more 2 deep bubbles with a setting of say 7.
