Comet wrote: ok well then why doesn't someone quit wasting my time.. and just help me with the question There should be a .ts version whereever you got the script. Run that instead of the .cts. It is probably a version 2 script and the compiled versions won't work with version 3 |

The one thing I am curious on is why are you using or wanting to use the 2 ship gridder? You can waste alot of turns, when their are alot of methods that are more effiecent. You might want to look at other methods. Just my .02 |

Well the best gridder that is available in public is Rammars and yoou can find it a grimytraders. He has a warp gridder and a planet gridder. They are good to least learn how to do it but not safe by anymeans. The faster your ping the better it will work for you. River Rat |

Ck's 2 ship gridder is full of holes and is uncontrollable. From my understanding it was an experimental type thing. If you run that 2 ship gridder against anyone with a pdropper you will die a quick death. It barely works in unlims and only if the other team is slow and probably not at keys. To my knowledge it doesn't even handle limpets correctly. It burns a lot of turns xporting back and forth so in a turns game a straight twarp gridder is usually the smartest way to go until you have mobiles. Then just pgrid in and out of difficult areas, not perfect but atleast it works. In an unlim you need a special gridder called an unlim gridder. I know of no public unlim gridders altho oz's is semi-public (and semi-functional). You can run a twarp gridder or an unfigged gridder if you have a map and there's no aggressive competition, but both will get you killed if someone is out to stop you. Rather quickly, too, I might add. Gridding is, by definition, aggressive. There's really no way to just "oh, let's lay some grid" and not provoke the other teams (if there are some). The battle of gridder versus grid defense is very complicated and where a lot of script development is occuring these days. The only way to win it is to learn to script or not play in those kind of games. In that case you could lawnmow and be just as safe, it really won't matter. |

Sing has said it best. Some of rammar's scripts do have the option to grid unexplored sectors. If you're just looking to explore, you'd be better off using an eprobe script. |
