Does anyone out there have the uncompiled versions of ck's scripts? I am running into a problem with ck_buydown. It keeps adding one more round than it should to complete the buydown with every round taking full holds. Therefore its not getting full holds of ore on the last round. So if the port sells org or equ and you are buying fuel, then you get stuck at the buy org or equ prompt because ck is trying to land you, not buy org or equ. Does anyone know how to fix this? If not, I can probably mod the .ts file if someone has it. Thanks!

i talked to ck today:

rev: #1 question i get about ck : does anyone have his source code?
ck: i know I have it somewhere, but I'm not inclined to look for it
ck: people should write their own stuff
ck: mainly, i just think that people should write their own, but I also don't want to release it publically because people will just poke holes and finds ways to exploit them

[edited to omit stuff that's none of your business]

so there you have it! start writing your own scripts! snap!

Actually I think, but not sure, If you upgrade to the newest twx version that is fixed. Was like a math error that EP fixed in the latest release.

I used to have same problem when doing buydowns in TWX 2.03, but no longer an issue using TWX 2.04!!

Hope this helps.

As ck has left the game, and as he has posted to free sites open source code of his scripts, ie in .ts format.

He no longer has control over when, where, and how those scripts
are distributed or posted.

Snap!

I dunno, if he requested people not pass it out then people should prolly abide by it. But that's a different thread.

The .TS files used to be on the tavern website. Since it's now down (it stopped accepting logins quite a while ago) only those that got it early will have the .TS code. Most of CK's stuff has an alternate out there already.

Yes most of his stuff does Sing, the point is that there is still
.ts ck scripts around ( I have at least a dozen of them ), and they can be posted for others to at least get a start in the world of scripting. And to take up where the scripts that are not .cts left off and perhaps improve upon them.

Its like learning a new Language, if you dont hear it, you cant
learn it. So it is with scripts if you dont read it you cant code it.

And ck had his own way, of codeing them. Good or Bad its not for me to judge. But others could do well to learn from them.

I'd be interested in looking at a couple of those .ts if someone's willing to share. I'm very interested in his gridder, as I'd like to modify it a bit.
