Loops and arrays go hand and hand, so it's hard to understand the one without the other. How about a 1.5 hour question & answer session using Skypecast, roughly 2 weeks from now, where the first .5 hour is used to get everyone connected and test the useability of the Skypecast format. Ideally, there will be a couple of teachers using a microphone, and we'll pass the microphone to anyone wanting to ask questions. Not sure what we'll use as a whiteboard, but I may fire up a simple chat server for us to all log into and use. You'll need a microphone, or better yet, a headset, to ask questions, so jump on newegg.com and pick one up for $10. Of course we'll take questions from the chat room as well, it just won't be as cool We won't be delving too deeply into arrays, as that could quickly exceed the scope of a beginner's class, but it should be a good class to build upon... and there's a ton of useful things you can do once you have a basic understanding of these two concepts. In fact, I'll be laying out the code for an adjacent photon script to aid in understanding the use of loops and arrays, so all attendees will now be able to post their own personalized photon scripts on Grimy It seems like the last attempt by Parrot was met with scheduling confilicts and was ultimately rescheduled and poorly attended. To avoid this, I'm stating up front that I don't want to hear about your schedule or availability, and that the date and time will be based on the availability of the teachers. If it doesn't meet with your schedule, catch the recording or a subsequent class. SOUND OFF if you are interested in attending. +EP+ |

Well EP is was hopeing for a Trade script, but you got my attention. I have headset/mic, but not Skypecast. As it is i already build scripts in twx v 2 and rexx/zoc. To start learning in twx v 3 shouldnt be that hard. btw will these loops be nested? |

Also if the skype can't record, I can get TeamSpeak to record now, so you will always have an option on things and I think I can set TS up to hand off the mic as well. will look into it more. |

If you haven't already, go read http://www.tw-cabal.com/strategy/twxscripthelp.html first. That article should give you the basics about Arrays and While Loops. |

The software that you'll need is just skype, latest version (2.5), available here:http://www.skype.com The chat part is still up in the air, but I'll come up with something. That's the easy part. It'll probably just use http, to keep it simple, so you'll just access it like a website through Internet Explorer. Thanks Vulcan. I may try to use hotrecorder to save the audio. Costs like $15. Hmm, I wonder if I can sell downloads of the recorded material. [:D] Beats WebEx or LiveMeeting, at $.33 / minute / user, ouch. +EP+ |

I have Skype but it only allows 5 users in voice chat at once. I would like to attend. |
