What's the error message? About port problems? Did it work to reload the whole thing? |

If I go to create a new database for a game, and there is one similar in the data directory, I get the "error creating database" or something along those lines. If I manually delete any db files in the directory and recreate it, then it's fine. |

I know I can make changes in the DB, but if the game ends and I want to make a new one, then I found i have to delete the existing ones. Otherwise the program seems to think it's active for some reason and will not allow the new changes. |

It's a beta, so there isn't going to be much said about it. You ought to post something on Grimy's forums about it. |

What were the names of the databases you had, and you were trying to create? |

I keep a back up copy of the twx data base on disk so that when ever i get that problem i just deleat the old one and replace it with the original copy that i made as soon as i added all the servers i had listed in my roladex, it takes 30 secs to repair the problem. |

This has been a problem in twx since 2.02. Lets say you have a database with the name AlienbaseB If you win that game, and want to play the same game again, and use the same DB name again, you have to do the following: (works 95% of the time) From the right-click twx menu, delete the old DB exit twx start twx create the new db If that fails, then you have to go to the twx\data directory and find the database and delete it. It seems to me that when twx starts, it scans the directory for games. when you delete one, some bits of it remain in memory. So when you create a new one with the same or similar name, it chokes. |
