(Dos door player) I recently downloaded the demo Swath and the free J-Twat (unfortunately named). J-Twat is the program I would like to use, but it's built in scripts seem slow and occasionly stumble. Because I am unfamiliar with the the new helpers, could you more experienced players give me some advice concerning J-Twat. ie: qualtiy of programming, current state of development, usefulness in game situations...

as far as I know, it isn't being developed anymore. I think all the scripts are in Java, so you have to know that language to write new ones.

For a free proggy, it not bad. But like you said, it stumbles alot. TWXProxy seems to be good so far. I just wish I could get Twhelper to work on XP with broadband.

You can get the free trial ATTAC as well and use it with TWX Proxy as well, or get ZOC and run it thru TWX Proxy or you could buy the ATTAC, SWATH, both are good helpers, and use them thru Proxy, which you can get the free open source version 2.03 from the TWX Proxy site if it is still up or go to http://grimytrader.com/ for it, I think someone may have put a copy of TWX Proxy 2.03 there. the final release is free.

Yeah the ZOC + TWX Proxy works good. I also use J-Twat for it's graphical map and search features. It also has a few good scripts ( ship explore ).
