I have had a considerable amount of trouble with my twx database in the last few games I have been playing. Twx will lock up - usually when I'm running a more complex script - and the game file will not function at all. I have had to resort to deleting the data and restarting.
When this has happened, I have been able to run other game files just fine, but never able to return to the database that locked up TWX. It is not any specific script that seems to do this, but they have all bee a bit more complex such as a planet trader and gridder.
I am wondering if anyone else has had issues with this? Do you have any suggestions (I'm already backing up that database every day now).

What OS and what version of TWX?
No doubt about it, a script bug can certainly cause TWX to crash. And if this crash occurs at a bad time, then I'm sure it could cause DB corruption. You say that TWX locks up. The most common cause of TWX "locking up" in my experience is an infinite loop, causing TWX to max out the CPU, until you Ctrl+Alt+Del and stop the process. So please elaborate on what you mean when you say that TWX locks up.
Shout back so we can get you fixed up.

Maybe you have bad warp or sector data in your DB? I've had problems with constant lockups after importing other people's TWX files before. Deleting the old db and starting a new one has always helped in those cases.

Hereby it is manifest, that during the time men live without a common power to keep them all in awe, they are in that condition which is called war; and such a war, as is of every man, against every man. For WAR, consisteth not in battle only, or the act of fighting; but in a tract of time, wherein the will to contend by battle is sufficiently known.
