After receiving what I believed to be some very disturbing news yesterday. This was originally going to be a post about my giving in to the people running this forum. And the announcement about the disbanding of TWX Proxy Group, and the development of TWX Proxy Pro coming to an end. To which I had already started the process of disbanding the project, and notifying the users of TWX Proxy Pro.

Before I could too far into the process, I started receiving emails and ICQ messages from quite a few people. All of the responses were basically about how I should not give into the people here, and that I should not allow TWX Proxy Pro to die such a death. I was also contacted by, and had a decent conversation with, one of the Original TWX Proxy supporters, and contributors. He stated to me that he liked what I had done so far with TWX Proxy Pro. And that he was going to support my efforts with the development of TWX Proxy Pro.

This person had helped me realized that Xide had gave up on the development of TWX Proxy, and released it to the public for them to do whatever they wished to do with it. Provided they give proper credit to Xide for his original work. And as long as I had a vision for TWX Proxy Pro, I should not give up on its development. In fact, he had demanded that I get back to working on TWX Proxy Pro. Personally, I hardly know this person’s reputation within the TW community. And I’ll take it as an honor that this person was welling to talk to me period.

Well, as you can possibly guess. The TWX Proxy Group is not going to be disbanded. Nor is the development of TWX Proxy Pro going to come to an end. The name may change once more, depending on the group’s decision. But, it will continue to be around.

At this time I would like to apologize to those people that had received my previous notice, and did not like the news.

And as for those that did like the news in my previous notice. Well, I apologize to you also because you are not going to get your way this time.

I will not allow this to turn into a debate. With the exception of posting announcements about new versions of TWX Proxy Pro. I will not participate in any discussions about TWX Proxy Pro, or the TWX Proxy Group, here. All discussions will take place on the TWX Proxy Group’s support forums, in a constructive and none degrading manner.

In the past some of the users of these forums have specifically stated to, or hinted at, they would not have anything to do with any project that I was a member of. (Of course these statements were made prior to a single line of code being written.) And I say this to those specific people. If you are a person of honor and your word means something, then please do not have anything to do with this project. This includes the posting of any comments about the project and/or its development team and its testers.

As for everyone else, I really do not care if you use TWX Proxy Pro, or not. But if you want to contribute to the development of TWX Proxy Pro, the means for you to do so are already at your disposal. You can either contribute directly by being apart of the development group. Or you can share your ideas with the group, and everyone else, on the support forums. It is up to you if you use them or not. But, there will be two major ground rules for the use of the forums. If you can not post anything in a constructive manner, then do not bother posting anything. The posting of anything that puts down any member of the project in any way, is strictly forbidden. (If you think you are so much better than any particular member of the project. Then you need put up, or shut up.) Failure to comply with these two rules will result in your post being deleted, along with any possible replies, and/or you being banned from the forums.

Despite that the TW Gods state here. You do not have to have the status or the prestige that they have, in order to contribute to the project. This is just their way of trying to run the show.

As I have already stated, any attempt to make this into any kind debate, or argument, will not receive any reply from me. The time for debates and arguments is over, and it is now time for everyone to put up, or to shut up.

Best of luck with it all Wabbit, but as someone else once said, 2.02/2.03 may have bugs, but they are bugs I don't mind. I wish you and those who are working on it the best of luck, and hopefully everything works out well.

Wabbit,

I'm not sure where you heard that I had asked you to pull the plug on your project.

This is completely untrue. I have nothing against your work and in every way believe you should continue to develop your project to ensure continuity of TWX Proxy. If I had any problems in regards to this I would have contacted you directly.
