I have implemented support in SWATH for a new URL type to
help launch a TW helper from a normal URL link on a web page.

This way all games can be represented with a link that will
simply launch the TW helper and create a new game with
the settings for that particular game. Other helpers may
implement the same support to make this work for everyone.

The URL format looks like this:
tw2002://twgs.swath.net:23/new?game=C& sectors=5000&name=MyGame
(The blank before sectors is just to avoid it being translated in here)

This example will simply create a new game database with
5000 sectors for the "C" game on server twgs.swath.net port 23, called MyGame.

Hey Stien when is the new swath going to be ready ?

We found an issue with the server and soon an update, v1.0.2 will be out. The TWXSync part in SWATH is running fine now after redesign and alot of testing. Got another issue left that we are currently hunting. When that one is solved, it will be released.

It is now long time overdue, but I think it is better to have it working properly than rushing things. Thank you for your patience.

So what happens if I have already clicked on that link in the past, and have that game currently setup? Will it just launch SWATH and open that game? Will it overwrite the existing game? Will it prompt me in some way?

The keyword "new" will let you create a new database with the game settings filled in. So, this link is mainly thought as an easy way to start playing in a new game you find on a webpage.
