I have a question on running scripts. Do all scripts run from the CIM prompt. I have decided that if I wish to continue to play the game, then I am going to have to sit down and learn how to use scripts. Otherwise its a lost cause! I am running ZOC/TWX Thank you for your help! |

No, very few scripts actually involve CIM at all. If you are using TWX, then just double click on the TWX icon in your systray, select the script you want to run and hit open. Different scripts will need to start at different trigger points, such as the command prompt, citadel prompt, etc. Most scripts will check to make sure you are at the correct prompt and if not, will tell you so. |

Ok, that makes sense. Another question for everyone. When running a ZTM script, should you start with sector one and end with the last sector in the game? Start from your home sector, stardock, etc! |

Well if you are asking where to run it from, then it doesn't matter. If your ZTM script asks for you to tell it where to start, get a different one! LOL CK and SupG both have good ZTM scripts that are publicly available. I believe the Reverend has one available, however I don't use ZOC so I don't know much about it. |

The best thing to do is download TWX proxy and set up zoc to connect to TWX and give the script a try in a test game. If you have a specific problem with a script or getting TWX and zoc to work together then we can help you figure out if you’re doing something wrong or be able to answer any specific questions on a script you don’t understand or can’t get to work. Hope it all works for you. |

KingD, a ZTM script will take a while to run, so it's best to run them from a safe place (I prefer SD while I'm still fedsafe). I'm not too familiar with SupG's but CK has a very good one that is extremely easy to use and is available at http://www.grimytrader.com ,SupG's Script pack is also available through the grimytrader, and contains a ZTM script. |

CK's ztm sucks. Every time I've seen someone run it, it misses hundreds of warps. |

Heh, Well I have to agree with Harley. In my experience SupG's ZTM is more thorough, though even it will have a few holes. |

Since you are using ZOC and TWX, make sure you have TWX set to connect with the correct number of sectors for the game and then use TWX to connect to game. Then run Revhelpers ztm script and it will handle any number of sectors in the game (even the games set to upset scripts with odd number of sectors). This will also set up the map for TWX. Any of the Rev's scripts will work properly but no guarantee for TWX scripts. I tend to use the mapping option of 100% as it gives almost total info data mining using reports after the map is complete and cim is ran. Hope that helps a bit KD...if not then send me message and can get in contact to compare notes. |

If the ZTM is asking where to start, it may be designed to be run by different people on a corp with each taking part of the universe to ZTM. If this is the design, it should also ask for an ending point. As Psion stated SupG's script is one of the better public scripts out and it is based on the Reverend's method I believe. |
