Actually I think ATTAC still lags far behind Swath in many areas. The Comm window is terrible, only allowing fedcomm/sub space chatter into the screen if your CNA settings is set to LONG, however most scripts use CNA set to Compact...there by if you have it in, it's easy to miss any chatter in game. Attac is limited to 4 names you have regestered. The Visual Map is not as good. The Worldtrade script in the game only goes to ports in your CIM and does not explore as it worldtrades (of course twx's 2 worldtrade script is faster anyways). I can't recall any other stuff off the top of my head. I don't wanna sound like i'm bashing attac. I have it registered myself, and I know many people like it over swath. But looking at the ne version, I don't believe it's going to make a big difference. Would be nice if the Sync was included with the upgraded version so we don't have to buy something else, but I understand all the work that must have gone into it allowing for a price increase. |

well coke, no swath or attac script in any fashion is gonna compare to a TWX script written by God himself (Xide stole the code, heh) earth, "World Trade/World SSM no longer drop figs if they belong to you" which means they check to see who they belong to, which means its slower, and will get you killed. i advise having it burst enter every sector the exact same. that's what i'd prefer in my world trade/wssm script anyway. not all players have to get the Sync server. The sysops can get it and set it up. Or one of the players of a corp and work with a sysop to put it up on the server, and really both will benefit from it. And if I recall Stein is putting the capability for it in SWATH Vulcan |

If a sysop were running a public copy what would stop the other corps from downloading all the info your corp has gathered. |

When a admin/sysop/head of corp create a game on the TWXSync server, you need to specify a password. ScreenShot from TWXSync Server
When you use your helper to connect to a game... you need to specify the password that was used when the game was created. ScreenShot from TWXSync Server

Yes , swath is being tested for the TWX Sync feature also ..to be released soon I'm told by Stein. In swath 1.8.xx it is also password protected , made to be used by a corp using Swath. I dont know if players on same team can share TWX Sync with Attac and Swath users. This has not been tested by me (also a Attac reg. player). I prefer Swath and TWX .. what a combo [:)] As for player names to reg .. well Cherokee has all my cash [:)] Hope this helps ... |
