Does anyone know of a script that will auto explore and create a file with sectors showing anomilies?
Thanks, -- LD --

well, i've got a solution for you.
i'm pretty sure there are a couple free auto-explore scripts (i know alexio has one)
to use it, you need to have TWX (i am assuming you have it)
well, TWX records data such as anomolies you've seen (assuming recording is on, which it should be)
hit $ in your telnet client, then hit D.
this will bring you to the data menu.
hit ?
this will give you a list of all the data type goodness TWX has recorded.
for anomolies, hit A. (you can check densities, enemy figs, traders, etc... as well)
if you have other questions, or would like to talk about the things TWX can do built in, shoot me an ICQ at 207-107-486.

My sector list script will give all sectors that you have seen with anomolies in a list on a txt file. Somethin else will have to do the exploring for you though.

Thanks, I'll try that guys. PHX does your script work with an already explored universe or does it have to be ran while exploring? I guess I could just try it
Thanks, -- LD --

I have a few projects I am working on,I can add that to the list and I will post it on the Homicide website.Big thing I am doing now is putting a license in all the scripts that are not public.Gotta love it when people share when you say not to.I will be posting new scripts during the week between Christmas and New Years.

lucky, for an "already explored universe" you would have all the anomolies you've seen in the past, but what if say, there was anomoly there 10 days ago, but you havent been there for 10 days. you have no idea what is there, and you have to re-explore
i think the easiest way (unless there are hundreds of limps out there) is to just use TWX to show you the data, then go have a look at what you find.

Let's pose a hypothetical position slim, for sake of curiousity:
If you had manually explored a 20k univ, which unlikely/retarded, could TWX or another helper find information about anomilies.
Or if you used ATTAC or another helper without TWX, could u pull the information up.
I am sure the answer is no, seems logical b/c I can't think of any kind of interrog mode or data retrieval to obtain that info.
I would imagine that you would have to be connected to TWX at start of game; then auto-explore w/whichever helper or manual explore and then use the data mode on TWX.
That was a bit long winded but I think I can explain the scenario. I am currently in a game w/my corpie, and we have taken over and #SD# everyone but a couple of cloaked non actives. I want to hunt them down and obliterate them.. lol...
Thanks always, -- LD --

if you used TWX while exploring, regardless of script or manual, TWX will have the info, if you just used your telnet client w/o connecting to TWX, then TWX would have not "seen" the sectors, so will have no "memory" of the sectors.

And my script only pulls its data from the TWX database. It gets the data from everything TWX has seen. So like Slim said, if you were not using TWX the last time you saw sector X, and there was an anomoly in it, neither TWX or my script will know about that sector. The only thing my script does over just going into TWX's interrogation menu is it writes all those sectors to a txt file. It also does many other listings such as sectors with fighters, mines, traders, planets, etc, etc, etc.

twx doesn't just get it, you still have to density scan to see an anomoly with any script or program.
