Kokua is a Trade Wars 2002 assistant with the goal of being very easy for the user to customize for their use. Every screen is defined in user-modifiable XML user interface files similiar to HTML. All actions are written in JavaScript, the scripting language of web pages, eliminating the difference between scripts and normal application behaviors. The initial emphasis of the project is to explore visualization and data mining.

This release adds public chat functionality, pair port reports, and a customizable sector map. On the backend, additional data collection, more stability, bug fixes, and many small improvements have been included.

Thankyou very much for making this. I can now play somewhat decently without having to switch to Windows. :D

Forgive my ignorance; I am a total newbie where anything but built-in functionality is concerned. How does one go about writing scripts for Kokua? I see the "run scrips" command. For example, How would I go about writing a simple pair-trading script, or, at the very least, an auto-haggle script?

Well, while the functionality is there, I haven't developed any scripts for Kokua since I have a headless Windows box I can run twxproxy on :)

The default language of Kokua is JavaScript. You should be able to find a ton of books, articles, and tutorials for it all over the internet, as it is used heavily in web pages. The usual functions like waitFor(), waitMux(), print(), etc., are defined in the file $USER_HOME/.kokua/scripts/global.js

If you need more help, feel free to email me.
