For wav files to be called by twx scripts. Do they have to be in the windows directory? I have put some in the same directory with scripts that use them but they don't work.

From ck's site on how his work:
Alert WAV files - Updated 10.19.2003 - ( 113 downloads / 69 unique users ) - Download Now
Alert sounds for use with certain CK scripts.

Latest Notes: Place these in your C:\ root directory. In the next release of the CK Combat Pack I will relocate these to the main TWX directory.

You won't be able to examine them as they're encrypted. However, TWX sounds are really simple to implement.

The path is relative to the TWX installation... so assuming you have TWX installed in C:\Program Files\TWX, then you can place a .wav file there and then make it play using the SOUND command, i.e.

sound "alert.wav"

When I wrote my scripts, I was using my alert .wav files for a variety of different things (not just TWX scripts), so I placed them in my C:\ root directory and had to call them with a fully qualified path, as in...

sound "C:\alert.wav"
