Hello All,
I've just re-started playing TW and I've downloaded SWATH and J-TWAT. It's a couple days into the game and It seems like I'm gonna be going blue in at least one game, this means I need a base. . . unfortunately everytime I try to ZTM both programs just freeze, I'm wondering if it's my computer/connection or the programs have some kind of bug. I'm running an Athlon XP 1800 w/ win XP on a T1 line. Hit me back with feedback, Thanks.

I know for a fact that J-twat is not good for long tedious tasks like ZTM because it likes to crash its database ever so often right in mid game. In another thread someone mentioned SWATH is not a good ZTM program either though I know not about it. Try a TWX ztm script or the revhelper ZTM using ZOC.

Catch all that?

Just go to your local search engine and type those names in and you will find them probly as the first link listed. Im to lazy to get all the URL's for you.
Remember... TWX, ZOC, Revhelper

You can run the RevHelper ZTM (and other scripts) in SWATH since it can run Rexx/ZOC scripts.
The ZTM in SWATH is not bad (97-98% of the universe), but recently there are new algorithms
to find even more warps. Will update the ZTM in a future release.

Swaths ZTM has been excellent for me, I run the first pass then the one way checker. Then when I get ready to leave for the day I use the second pass and put in a number equal to one half the sectors in the game and let it run then run the one way checker again. I have never had a problem with the ZTM in Swath using that method and it appears at least 99% accurate.

Have you ever actually tested this against a test game where you have a complete map from an observer account, or are you just guessing it gets you 99%?

I have never actually tested it against an observer account, I never had the need to or want to. I have used this method in actual games I have played tho and have experienced an extremely low occourance of errors. The biggest things that I found that screws things up is avoids not cleared before running ztm and not updating before running ztm. I have had games where I have physically explored 99-100% of the game after running ztm and it rarely changes anything I have found.
