Can someone explain how to make this thing work. I believe that you have to input your game data into a file somewhere so that all the scripts can access it? If so what file, or if not, how does this Darn thing work?

heh.
1) use zoc, latest version if possible. many things wont work in anything older than 4.08.
2) install the scripts to your zoc/script folder. any place else is going to cause issues. just run the revhelper.exe and follow the instructions.
3) open zoc and run the _setup.zrx script. this script will modify the settings in zoc to setup revhelper. you will get a user menu system and a login script.
4) use the login script. if you ran the _setup.zrx script the login script should automatically run whenever you start to enter a game. if you use the "new game" option in the login script, it will create a data file for you based on the * screen and some other information. use the login script to login to your games and all the scripts will work seemlessly. i get the most complaints about this because people want to use twx and it has a login script, etc. revhelper needs to know whats going on or the scripts will not function. thats just the way it is. there are workarounds to the login script, but you end up with this complaint:

good luck!

FYI if you want close to game/swath colors I use these settings:
ALt-S gives you a menu. hit tab [Windows/Colors]
Blackground Black
Foreground White
Highlight <Standard>
Underlined <Standard>
Blink <Standard>
Under [Fonts] Tab:
Char Set IBM/DOS/OEM
Then Save.

Tested it in SWATH which has Rexx/ZOC support and most scripts run nicely
There are some issues that I found and will correct for the next upcoming version (1.7).

REV helper Rocks, I have custom menus, with buttons to mass scritps and macros for various duty in game. Just adding custom menus makes this ZOC ADD on the best tool in TW today.
Add TWX and you have equipment, weapons even....
Muhahaha

I would like to use a macro for planet busting. When I add that button into the revscript buttons it will disapeer if I go to one of the other menu options [INFO] [REPORTS] etc and come back to the [RED] where I made the button in the first place. How do I make it stay there?

Hiya Rev, While were on the subject. When you log onto a game server and select the game letter, Under the NEW GAME Menu there is a selection named CLEAR. What deos this function do? I beleive it also exists under LOGIN as well?

just ignore the CLEAR option - its from the _setgame script and _login uses the same code. basically what it does is clear the current game.

I figured that much, but looking at the rh_red.txt file, all i can see if references to scripts, how would a macro look in that file?

Thanks

Now that I do know. Go into Edit Session Profile, AutoMacro's tab, AutoReplies, remove the "Play Trade Wars 2002" autoreply. However I do not know if this will effect the data parsing that revhelper does because it doesn't know which database to load?

if you don't want to use the _login.zrx script you must use _setgame.zrx subsequent to login (however that is accomplished).
