I have just downloaded and tested Rev's new helper script and I must say its a very well designed script utilizing most of the "normal" scripts used by tradewars players.

The menu items utilize ZOC'S ability to change your button setups for quick and easy manipulation.

I have not yet fully tested all the utiliies in the script but so far have not run into any major bugs :)

It also keeps track of most of the needed information about game settings and uses ZOC's autoreply features to log in and change databases for each game. It very quickly loads saved settings per game and will even land you if you uncloak at terra or SD :) useful for reds who seem to make rather tempting targets entering games :)

anyway i would definitely recommend people to try this script out :)

I cannot get it to install correctly. It'll configure everything, but then ZOC will exit, and I can't save the settings :( If anybody has any suggestions, please tell me

At the end of the install, you get an echo message you have to save the current session settings so that zoc will start up with the same settings. If you still are having problems wend rev a note, he will get in touch with you.

I talked to him after I posted this message, and he's boggled too. He has no idea what it could be, but he said he'd get back in touch today. And it exits ZOC right after the script exits, so I don't get that chance :(

What version of zoc are you using? I ran into someone before having problems with rev's scripts come to find out he was using old version of zoc.

I am running the latest version of zoc and eerytime i try to install it, the program locks up and sends an error report to microsoft. It does that within the first two second of the running the setup script. Was really excited about getting to use it but now i am clueless?

are you using windows xp by chance? reverend was getting reports of the script not running within the xp base.. he has designed an upgrade and is downloadable from his site. DO NOT RERUN SETUP if you have already run it. or you will lose any changes you might have made to the menu/scripts.

ok folks, i found the bug. there is a new copy of rev-helper up on my site and it should be good to go.

unfinished business:
1 - the _clear_extern script needs work - the math is all wrong. just delete your zoc\log\*_bust.txt file after extern if you want to clear the bust record.
2 - the _login script has some issues for some situations, e.g. web-registration games. i will be doing a total rewrite of that code as soon as i break free from other stuff.
3 - the rh_info.txt menu file had a typo in it, so when you re-install, let the setup program replace that menu, or icq me and i'll tell ya how to fix the typo manually.

thanks to everyone who sent me bug reports. i dont know what i would have done without you except continue to look stupid.
