Is it me, or has anyone else had a problem getting the SupG Trip Distance script for TWX to work? I got it to work on a test server, but for some reason it won't work for me in a real game. I've tried using SWATH, ZOC, and the basic telnet app with Windows, and none of them work. Am I alone here?

1. check the file properties and make sure it is not "read only".

2. the script will automatically turn off if someone trips a fig in a sector you have not yet explored.

3. are you sure your twx is logging in correctly with your other helpers?

4. is it an encrypted script? do you have twx proxy registered? this could be your problem...

just suggestions.. best of luck

How can a fig be tripped in a sector that you haven't explored yet? Don't you explore it when you set the fig down?

Corporate figs dropped by your corpies where you have yet to explore can be tripped. :) That's all I meant.. the script picks up on those.

What would be cool is if you could configure it to say if someone gets within 3 or 4 hops, then stop the current script and load this script. Where the number of hops would be user configurable. Maybe even go one step further where you would enter in trader names that you want the script to watch for in particular. I've added this capability to a lot of my attack scripts so I always get the right person.

Sounds like SupG has some work to do. :)

Ooh *drool* yes going after any particular player in the script would be very highly desireable, also would make it VERY hard for certain players to get anywhere in the game however haha.

Nevertheless.. it would kick some arse, good idea

there is/was a helper(dont think he does much with it anymore--the maker)that would alow you to catagorize a player as either enemy, neutral, or allie--all players in the game you wished to add--anyway various attack scripts would or wouldnt perform certain actions (like pwarp attack) depending on how a trader was listed. it was still being perfected though dont know if he ever did so.
if not...SHARK! CREATE THE ULTIMATE TELENET HELPER!
