Not sure what you mean about not having to adjust it for each game... I'd still have to adjust the values, wouldn't I? I suppose I could script it so some of the values are filled automatically, but that would take me a lot longer to code, and I'd still want the ability to explicitly change the values using setvar.

What I understood from Helix's suggestion was that we could have a module that lets you define variable names as well as their values.. What I currently have hard-codes the variable names, and of course I agree with his suggestion, it just would take me a lot longer to code. As for saving to file, savevar does that anyway. Although I guess I'd want to save it in a different format if I was using user-defined variable names.

Well of course. I'm just saying, I probably won't use it unless there are some really compelling reasons, since I like to customize myself. I'm still glad you're doing anything at all. Obviously anything you do is entirely up to you, and same goes for me.

If it is to be .cts only, please make the hotkeys configurable. Many times "-" and ">" occur in text to be sent over subspace, such as pasted sector scans with shielded planets etc., and the bot cuts message short.

Thank you for this fine product... glad to see an official release coming after so long.

Just curious; does all this mean that J.P. has finished 'improving' TWGS? ...I feel the Scripting bug nipping at me.

There is still new stuff being developed and he fixing bugs as we find them.
I have been testing on v2.xx for a while and the only scripts we have had to alter for v2.xx are login or relog scripts and traitors tbuster script.

You want to get in on FIRE, its a tourney on v2.17. We still have VidKid (plus 1) and comet as draftees. It would be nice to get a 3rd team going.
Take a look at the thread by vid in advertising (or in the new tourney forum)

You will need all 3 if you need the script too. The 1.032 is the one that was originally released, the other 2 have updates. 1.037 is the latest that The Bounty has released but there have been a few minor changes if you need any help feel free to ask.

Not at the moment. I don't play the new version but if I had a list of the problems I am sure it would just be some quick tweaks to fix.

There are more, density torps, mowing, towing,etc.. are all broken in 2.x
Toy can speak more to the specifics as I haven't addressed any of them personally.
