Helix the issue I've had with correctly getting colo timed is its random. In that it doesnt come at fixed times. If you do a search you'll see the reasearch I did with sings help into the matter. And parrot no I have nothing to do with mom.

So instead of using a timer we user a counter, keep landing on terra until it has the number of colos needed and them grab them. In the unlimited version that number would be 1 or more, in the turns version it would be a configurable number of free holds.

Or we can use a timer and a counter for the turns version to limit the bouncing up and down

Then WHY are you involved in this thread at ALL.

Either fix it or stfu.

Helix

There are other options other than timing or jumping up and down like a madman 24/7.

Try combining the two. This is what I do and it works very well.

If your looking to pick up 100 colo's at a time (ex.) and colo regen is 65560 then

setdelaytrigger jump :jumpupanddown (((65560/86400)*1000)*0.9)

try this approach

That concept works fine if you are the only one milking Terra. My script however wll detect how many colonists you are grabbing and undercut you if it isn't below the user designated amount. It automatically increases and decreases by chosen amounts depending on the circumstances. The jumping up and down lets the script determine the amount of colonists that anyone else may be grabbing. My script can be botted to increase or decrease the minimum amount without stopping the script.

When you're talking about a milker, you've gotta adjust.

When you're talking about a timer, that works fine. However you might not want to time based
on regen, you might want to time based on turns. If you get every 5 minutes, for example, you
might leave some on terra but you can calculate your exact daily turn usage and coordinate
appropriately.

Of course a timer is useless against a milker, but not all games go that far.

If you have a corpie that's just doing nothing (which happens) and want to build bases off a massive
load of terra cols, why not colonize timed by your turn regen?

Yes. That's about the only time a timed colo script is usefull to keep from running completely out of turns. However you can also use the approach that just grabs until you are out of turns and loop until you get turns back. Even my milker uses this approach. If it runs out of turns it will wait until turns are regenerated and will start again. So basically a milker could handle that approach also. I have used times scripts using a random interval approach when I'm wasn't fed safe just to throw off anyone sitting at Terra waiting to pop you. Dangerous, but in solo games sometimes you don't have a choice.

Your the fan. I have scripts that work. This is the very attitude that keeps me from releasing public scripts. Nothing but comments and bitter mouth flapping.

Since this allready turned smack, the only thing preventing you from releasing scripts is your own ego and self serving attitude. The only reason you even posted this thread is to draw attention to M()M's issues in a negative and demeaning light. Had your OP been something constructive I would not have even chimed in, unfortunatly they follow the rest of your style of posting which is generally negative or derogatory.

As to your scripting statement believe what you will, while I may not be in the league of EP,Sing,LS and other great scripters I can handle my own. I have a working milker/timed script that is selectivly public and one that should be updated but havnt had the time. I do not wish to contribute to M()Mbot at this time but value that it's even public and allows me to automate some of my daily routine which is more than K-Bot offers.

I don't believe I gave you a copy therefore I don't believe you can comment.

As to the rest I will have to take your word for it. You are great and I am a idiot.

Now go to Smack. Post code or shut up.

I have already explained why I wont fix it . Once around the block on that subject is more than enough.

As soon as Helix posts a fix I will have somewhere to point my mombot using friends for a fix.

Therefore this thread is finished.

I stutter also.

Take pity on me Kaus.
