Do you have a nearest fig script? All the twx nearest fig scripts I've seen take multiple seconds to return an answer when your nearest fig isn't close (say 7-10 sectors away), compared with the same algorithm in Zoc which'll might take 100ms. Faster hardware will obviously help, but you need to be more than 10 times faster than other people who are running it to make the time taken not noticeable. It might of course be that the algorithms I've seen in twx are crap, compared to good algorithms in Zoc, but I doubt it.

well I dont know about you but when im moving col off a planet in someones sector it is kinda nice to be out of there ten min. faster.
