Ah, be careful what you ask for!

Tons and tons of information here:
http://www.navhaz.com/http://www.navhaz.com/dny_tw_tutorial.txthttp://tw-cabal.navhaz.com/Basically, TWX is a collection of scripts that players use to play the game. TWX is capable of connecting to a game server, but it is not a telnet terminal program. You need another program like Swath, Zoc or Puddy. Set the terminal program to connect TWX locally using the address "localhost" or the IP address 127.0.0.1, use the port number of your choosing, this will become the "listening" port number for TWGS. Once that connection is established, use TWX to connect to a game server.
But, before that can happen you need to set-up TWGS. On the first tab - Server, put the name of the game, the address of the server, and the port # for that server. On the Program tab, here is where you put the "listening" port you decided to use in your terminal program.
Ah, but you asked about Mombot.... yet another collection of scripts & bots.
Mombot comes with an instruction file and must be loaded in C:\TWGS\Scripts\Mombot. Right click on the TWX Icon in your taskbar and load Mombot. When Mombot first loads it will log you out of the game, collect game data from the * menu, then relog you into the game if you've set-up your login info.
To access Mombot you need to use the right arrow >
type > help to see the main menu with pre-set shortcuts to scripts.
type > help cashing to see the scripts available to you there. etc...
Find someone who really knows this well and corp with them. I've been back for a couple of years and I'm still learning TWX and Mombot! But, I resisted for a long while in the beginning.
You could also download TWGS and run your own games locally, just to try stuff out.
