Question for script authors re. "private" scripts
Bearing in mind that any DRM scheme can be cracked, and if something can be viewed or used it can be copied, if the user is skilled and determined enough...
Imagine that you could encrypt your scripts using an asymmetric cipher so they could only be used by the player who possesses the private key. Would that make you more likely to share your private scripts with corpies?
The most likely way to exploit this would be by sharing keys. Say you shared a script with player A, and then A shared your script and his own private key with player B. The limitation of this attack would be that while using your script, B could only use public scripts and other scripts encrypted for A, not scripts encrypted for himself or anyone else. It would also expose A to the possibility of B signing his own malicious scripts as having been written by A.

No. There are already simple means used to lock down a script.

Ditto what Helix said.
Besides. One of the main reasons that I've given out my scripts (in TS), is that you can give away Delorean Flux-Compacitor equipped cars to anyone who asks for one. Sure, they'll be able to drive the car, but will they know how set the Flux-Capacitor? ...in other words: give a monkey a #2 Phillips Screwdriver, and pretty soon he'll have the cleanest ears in the pack. laff
