the bot is meant to run everything from it.. you can add bot commands via the cfg file. You can add standalone commands to the double tap menu via the .mnu files.

It should run fine with mombot for memory (tho its been a while since i wrote it and my memory isnt the best). Make sure the bots have a different bot name. If the hotkeys are getting in your way you can change them via the cfg file. They default to SHIFT-letter for most things... i have changed them for my own setup to CTRL-letter.. tho this requires changes to swath if you are using it.

I will say that your overall bot is nice and has a lot of great features. I am sure you will disagree because you have been using it and it applies to your style of game play but is not very user friendly (Even for an advanced user). The full configuration is nice, but there are to many conflicts. I understand why a little better now that you say everything is meant to be run through it.

For the casual user this can work, for the advanced users and power users this will cause some issues with fingers normally gravitating to type out commands and with F-Key macros that could get in the way. I definitely would like to find a way to make this work at the same time with the mombot. As it could add an extra layer of info. Would be nice if there was a way to configure which functions to use, say to turn off the move helper, ect...

Your set up was how I originally programmed my Evil bot back in 2002. Although your bot has much more functionality than mine did. Keep up the work though. The more options out there the better.

The fig-Mon as a separate script is outstanding. The Parameter editor is also a very nice feature. Do you have something listed for each script you accompany with the bot that shows the parameters passed in/out? I ask because I would like to make sure that future versions of M()M Bot are able to use these scripts.

i was thinking of your post while i was working on the bot.. and it occurred to me that some functions could effectively be turned off or moved out of the way by reassigning their hotkeys. All hotkeys used in the bot can be reconfigured in the z-options.cfg file in the twx root folder. Also internal commands can be replaced with external ones via the z-options.cfg.

ok, maybe you can give me a little insight here as this has been the part that is keeping me from using your bot in the background. I tried to to enter a sector number 10245 to just twarp there. It dosn't ender the full number and brings up the move menu. Here is my config file. (I took out the comment sections. So as you can see I personalized it but didn't seem to be enough.

BOTNAME: hunt
LOGINSCRIPT: login.cts
FIGMONITOR: z-figmon.cts
SHIPSTATS: _ck_ship_stats.cts
SHIPCAP: __ck_ship_cap.cts

SCRIPT: RESOURCE colo scripts\OtherScripters\SupG\colo_BH_Mod.cts
SCRIPT: DAEMON rescue scripts\MomBot\Modes\Grid\savemeauto.cts
SCRIPT: RESOURCE upgrade scripts\upgrade.cts
SCRIPT: CASHING wsst scripts\OtherScripters\SupG_BH_Mod\wsst.cts
SCRIPT: GRID scout scripts\OtherScripters\TheBountyHunter\scout.cts

MENUKEY: SHIFT-Z
DOUBLETAPKEY: ,
CHARGEKEY: SHIFT-C
MOWKEY: SHIFT-M
SELFBOTKEY: -
TRANSWARPKEY:
BOTONOFFKEY: SHIFT-Z
HOOKTOWKEY: J
TOPOFFKEY: T
XFERKEY: X
BANNERKEY: B
CITMENUKEY:
BLINDWARPKEY:
DISRUPTKEY: D
SAFETYNETKEY: S
HOTMENUKEY: K
INFOKEY: G
PROBEKEY: E
ZTMKEY: O
CREEPERKEY: C
ATTACKKEY: A
FUELKEY: F
CAPKEY: P
HOOKMANKEY: W
STOPALLKEY: L

There are some things I really like here that I would like to use. And if there is something that can give me an additional advantage I am more than willing to try.

It doesnt look like you have the transwarp key assigned. The default key for that is } .. (shifted right square bracket). so to use the transwarp you would type }10245 and press ENTER. Twarp will get fuel (if needed) if you are on a planet or in a sector with a fuel port. It will then twarp you directly there if its figged or to a figged adjacent and then move you in if there is no fig at the destination. If u arent getting the whole number typed in, it may be that you are typing too fast and the movement panel hasnt appeared before you start typing the sector number. (if its a slow connection).

You could also type }10245p to port when you get there.
typing }dp would port you at stardock (and clear any limps).
Same deal with the mow, and charge versions of the move keys.

so if i have this right.. you just need to assign a key to the twarp key, and maybe wait a split second for the twarp panel to appear before typing the sector number.

That options file isnt complete by the way.. there should also be entries for BANNER:, WAVECAP:, CAPTURE:, KILL:, MACRO:, and ATTACK:.

Anything without a # in front of it is meant to be there.

Also note that using SHIFT-keys as hotkeys can be a pain when you are trying to communicate over fedspace etc... tho i have fixed that for the next version.

I actually don't want the move commands in there at all. With the mombot I can do a >t s p
That will twarp grabbing fuel if on planet, and docking at dock and removes limps if attached.

As for the attack and banner stuff it was there, I just didn't copy it over as it wasn't necessary for what I was talking about.
