What does a sysop messaging script do?

V'Ger wrote the script to do certain messaging tasks, such as welcoming new players in the game, sending messages about games, or rebang notices, etc. It is a great script for the messaging tasks and keeping players informed in-game.

Would be a good way to inform players about the rules of certain servers.

That is precisely what I use it for. Each time a new player joins the game, they get ship mail with rules of the game. That way they cannot plead ignorance to the rules. The code is very clunky, it was my first major script that I wrote for the TEDIT side, and I have some ideas to improve it, just have not had the time.
