Unread post ScoreKeeper v1.1- Uploaded to Grimy's
I have just uploaded the next release of our ScoreKeeper script to Grimy Traders.

Description:
ScoreKeeper is a SysOp script to run for their TWGS. It will provide the following features to SysOps:

* Allows SysOp to run score scripts on selected games they run. Will post in HTML format for their website.

* Allows SysOps to run a TWGS Online Activity script. Will post HTML file on their site for players to see who is online.

* Provides a status window showing the SysOp current settings. SysOp can access menu and make changes, such as the timer or games to run scores on.

* Saves settings in the \data directory in case the SysOp has to restart the script. When they load settings, it will load all settings which will save the SysOp time to retype everything. They only have to select the game letter(s) to run scores on and then run the script.

There is a text file with install instructions in the archive as well as any changes made.

Release Notes:
The initial ScoreKeeper was written in Visual Basic and ran in an application using ZOC and TWXProxy, sending keystrokes when needed. It is a full developed application that performs all our tasks for the site and our TWGS without my intervention. We have taken part of our application and rewritten it in TWXProxy, providing the key functions that will benefit other SysOps.

This script is now uncompiled. Feel free to modify it or use it however you wish.

You rock

The routine you use to change settings...

Can you tell me what they ought to be for the scorekeeper to read the incoming text?

Every game it sticks at a some prompt with 1, 17, 171 or 1717... :)

I am going to go though the ts but I thought you could tell me what YOU expect.

Thanks

Helix

In future release will there be a run now option ? or once you start it runs automatically then starts the counter? I have had no issues and it looks good, thanks for the hard work.

Thrawn is on deployment, and in his absence I am handling the ScoreKeeper for him at the moment until his return.

@ Helix- I am unclear as to your being stuck at a prompt. Are you meaning it hangs when you enter each game to run the scores? The settings are stored in a text file, single line with the exception of the games which each game letter is stored on a seperate line. I believe Thrawn had received help from Promethius on that aspect as his select games option is similar to Promethius' TEdit Game Close/Open script. I'm not well versed on routines, but I do know that the settings are saved via a read/write command per option.

@ T0yman- The next release is going to have another option built in that allows the Sysop to run final scores, which is useful prior to a rebang. It could also be made to have the ScoreKeeper run scores right away when you start the script then sit in timer mode as per your request.
