Outside of speed what is important to you in a coloniser? I finish up classes on thursday and I plan on starting TerraFarmer2.0 and am looking for ideas I may have missed. I have a slew of options in mind, gonna start small with a release of a recoded clone of the original outside of the menu maybe and add from there. Looking at my work of a year or so ago I see allot of stuff I can improve. I'm looking for ideas within the scope of colonising only as that is kinda my thing (Rather I enjoy writing them)

hehe, you really want me to start? :)

My "dream" coloniziation script:

Take all the options/features of the existing terrafarmer, proecolonizer, and big D's terastripper (for zoc/attac), and combine into one, beautifully streamlined script.

I'd like one that could also cook me dinner. A good cut of steak, or maybe some chicken. Would be nice to have an option for either.

After writing that, I realized, if you are gonna take the time to write a new script, I should be more specific in features than just saying go look at other scripts. So here's my dream wishlist.

1) Similar to proecolonizer, ability to have a pop-up window (or to subspace like terrastripper) to keep a running tally of colonization progress. IE... how many collies taken, fuel ore used, turns used/remaining, how long the script has been running for, total cycles, etc. Avg collies per cycle and avg collies/turn

2) You know my dream feature is the ability to milk terra for collies. Big D's terra stripper does this beautifully, the only change I would like is to be able to set the speed of the landing/takeoffs from Terra. Big D's does it once per second, which in a real battle is good, but sometimes thats too fast, and once every 5 seconds would be sufficient and not run the risk of lagging the conection. Anyhow, the ability to determine how frequently to try and milk would be great.

3) The ability to have an "auto-adjust" when milking. Both proecolonizer and terrastripper have this, but I dont think either works perfectly. I'd like for the script to have an option to randomly adjust up or down, so other players cant "time" when to land and take collies right before I would. maybe something like +/- 5 collies from the set amount to pickup per landing, or something along those lines.

4) All the other standard features like blue twarp/bwarp options, red colonizing features, blind warp protections.

Along with one of my corpies, I've tested out pretty much every public colonizing script there is available, in a number of different bangs and with different settings. Speed is very important, but to me personally, feature set is even more important, and as long as the result is not sacrificing too much speed, I'd love to see one script able to incorporate the many great features from other scripts as well as adding a few new options as well.
