I have a terra milker, but it's REXX. It works really well if fed safe. I bit dangerous, as all of them are, if not fed safe.

Yes, my idea would only be a good one if someone is fed safe.

In the game i am playing, Terra has been depleted, and so only natural regen of collies is available. The problem is that almost at all times of the day, anywehre from 1 to 3 people are tryign to get collies. So "waiting" until there are enough collies to fill holds in 1 shot is a near impossibility. Even though its a turn game, getting some collies per turn is ok and better than none, which is what is happening as a result of other people scooping up 20 or 30 collies at a time, so there is never enough regen for me to get 90 or so at a time.

I'm 90% sure that mombot has a tmilker (based on mine that went public afew years back, laff) that will do what you need. It's all a trade-off, you're willing to bid a certain number of turns for a load of collies... either the guys around you are willing to bid higher, or you get them. At that point it becomes a turn for turn competition.

Basically you adjust up or down the number of collies you wait for. The more you wait for, the fewer turns it takes. The less you wait for, the more turns it takes. Most of the more modern milkers will automatically adjust this within a selected range. If the cols disappear before you can collect them, it adjusts down and down, and if there's ever more cols on terra than you're set to pick up (ie: you're leaving some behind) it'll adjust up.

This starts a whole new set of tmilker strategies. Since colo regen is a constant, it makes sense then to focus your time when fewer ppl will likely be running. So having a way to track the other landers helps. I wrote a little script a while back that tracks the collection level, watches to determine the minimum levels at the time, and then sets the collection to just slightly higher. Forces other players to constantly stay adjusted down, burning turns, then when they're done you can pick them up cheaply. If they refuse to adjust down to collect you can just set your level to a little below theirs and undercut their entire supply.

Hehe. Welcome to Script Wars 2002. This is the sort of reason why scripters will always have an advantage, and reasonably creative ppl will have an even bigger advantage, and why reasonably creative ppl that can script (or have access to scripters) will always have a huge advantage.

That is actually on my to-do list for the script. When I first wrote it I wanted to put it in there but never got around to it. I feel yourpain about the colo situation, I wrote Tfarmer in response to a similar situation. As I stands it "milks or bubbles" over terra till your available holds are less than the colo amount. However I will be adding it into the aggressive subroutine sometime soon.
