I am a long time SWATH user and there is something I have been trying to automate for a while that I have never found a good way to handle. When I am building a home sector, I would like a way to automatically move to the StarDock or a Class-0, buy fighters, return to the sector and drop the fighters.
The Buy/Dump script that comes with SWATH only dumps to a planet, not to a sector. Right now I use a macro, but it is not completely automated as the number of fighters to leave in the sector changes each time.
Does anyone know of a good script out there that can do this?
Thanks,
Don

Are you wanting a SWATH script or a TWX script?

I don't think such a public script exists for Swath. Though I might be able to whip one up if someone else doesn't beat me to it. In the mean time you should take a look at Mind Dagger's Swath Scripts... there might be something there already to do the job (haven't used a Swath script in over a year.)

Here we go.. I suspected MD would have this figdump script already done:
Code: /** * Sector Fig Dumper * * Used to move fighters into a sector either grabbing them from a planet or buying them * from Sector 1. * * @author Mind Dagger */
Above script can be found on Grimy's, as part of his Swath Script Pack
Hope this helps

Thanks guys. I prefer SWATH scripts because I don't want to have to run two helpers. I didn't even think to look at the Grimy Trader's site. I gave MD's script a shot and it looks good, but I am having some navigation problems. Since the code is public I'll tweak it to do what I want.
Thanks again,
Don

One of the more common approaches, once you get a mobile, is to take a mobile planet to a class 0, fill the planet in a macro loop, take it back then dump. It's generally safer since you aren't twarping around w/ a lot of cash on you.
Still, it wouldn't be hard to write something like this.

I just uploaded a Zoc script (SectorFigs.zrx) to Grimey's - it will run in Swath without the use of TWX. It should also work in Zoc or Attac but I haven't tested it in either.

I have that script at Grimys somewhere. It is called Class 0 Buydown W/Sector loader. But it is TWX

Man, I had the exact same resistance myself... until I used TWX inside SWATH... it is SO much faster at pretty much everything. It makes the extra step of loading two helpers well worth it. Give it a shot....

The java scripts used in Swath are very slow compared to TWX. Have you ever used the colonizer when someone else is using a TWX script? They snatch 3 to 4 times as many colos as you can using SWATH

BTW, I use wildstar's Sector Figs to Planet Script and Planet Figs to Sector Script, both in is pack on Grimy's. Just use the .ts files as the compiled (.cts) ones seem to break.

It does?
Wow yet another rewrite I nee dto do when I return.
If it looks like I will not be back soon, I may just release every script I have in .ts.
Thanks for the mention Cernnunos

Swath scripts can be made fast, but they usually aren't. The API checks a half-dozen details as it goes, whereas a script really only needs to synch w/ game text occasionally. You can use the macro capability in swath tho, it's just as fast if you abort displays. If you look at MD's stuff tho you'll notice he uses sendtext to do macro bursts, which ends up being pretty fast.

WS,
I meant the 2.02 .cts files break. The 2.03 .cts files are great. I should have been clearer.
