I've stayed away from all things windows and its development... I hear different things about Windopes10 Has anyone made the switch? ...is it worth it, for an occasional user? ...oh yeah.. will TWX proxy/swath/twgs (V1 RULES!!), work with the sortof (kinda) new OS? |

There's no compelling reason to upgrade, unless you are running Windows 8. Only 8 days left for the free upgrade, and you can switch back easily during the first 30 days. I am running TWX (2.5.73) and Swath (2.0) on Windows 10 without any problems since the first beta release over a year and a half ago. I don't think any version TWGS will run on Windows 10 due to security restrictions on shared memory files used by TradeWars. |

Thanks for the input. I use Windows 7, without any problems. I look at v10 as a another Apple clone (remember win3.1? Lol), with its own version of Siri, etc. Thanks again. |

Only issues I have encountered using Win10 on my laptop is it will not compile to .cts and after rebooting I have to reenter the name for each active game. |

I upgraded the majority of my desktops at work. The only real problem I have found is printer compatibility. I imagine things like webcams will also not be comparable. Seems like I have had to buy a new webcam for every major windows upgrade I have ever done. |

well its almost too late to get the free OS for free. so the !2B is going to become permanent if you have not jumped on the bandwagon already. as the bandwagon is leaving the station in less than 48 hours. support for windows 7 and 8.1 has already been cut off for updates according to a friend of mine. |

yeah i went ahead and upgraded my last win7 computer this morning... since i no longer host the twgs locally didn't seam like a big deal and since proxy and swath seam to run good on 10 i didn't see a problem with doing it. sk |

The updates for 7, 8, 8.1 will be going till late 2018, with that being said, yeah, it is time to get on the W10 bandwagon I haven't had any issues yet with how TWGS works on my computer using 10 yet, or any printer issues either, of course the printer I have is an HP that is W10 compliant, got it as a Bday present. As for the TWGS no issues so far, but TWGS isn't fully activated yet, still waiting for JP to send me my original codes to fully activate the TWGS. Was testing it on my computer, but will be moving it to a dedicated host computer running with either XP or W7 when I get my codes. Yes you heard it, I am getting ready to restart my Vulcan's Forge TWGS again, featuring my Riddicks Challenge games as well.
