Is there any point and click games or is there a huge config process before you can start playing? |

As long as you have Telnet enabled, you can create a character on any server listed here and play: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=33034 Now, if you want a helper, to run scripts, then it gets more complicated. |

TWR is crap. Barely resembles Trade Wars, and it is slow. |

The game is still a telnet game, so you need a telnet client to connect to a server. Many players use Swath, which is a telnet client/helper rolled into one. http://www.swath.net (I just looked and the server is currently down, I sent a message to the owner. Check back often.) Here's an excellent document to read to help bring you up to speed. http://www.tw2002.info/ls_dny_help/dny_tw_tutorial.txt http://www.microblaster.net has lists of current servers The game is still pretty much like you remember it. Just to take a look at a game using the new flash client, check this out: http://cruncherstw.dyndns.org:2004/PlayTW.html That link will take you to my server. There are no helpers or scripts with the flash client right now, that aspect is still under development. But, you will be able to look at some games that are currently running before you commit to a telnet client setup. Welcome back! & Happy Trading! |
