What are current players looking for in a new edit...

Balanced?
Blue vs red or leaning more towards one side?
Aliens?

I want to work on a new edit but would like to gear it towards our current players. Anyone who has written one feel free to give me some tips!!

I'm not an expert, but I would suggest that you pick your favorite Edit, and then change all the planets/ships/etc, to whatever theme you want. Make little tweaks to make things interesting. For example: Fewer Ports, adjust ships or introduce a few surprises, shorter plot courses, make things really expensive on week days, and have Stardock Sales on the weekends... that last one was something I wanted to do but never got around too.

Shameless plug: have you tried my new Star Wars ...a new hope, edit? 8) 90% of those asked agree that this edit stands to win the next TradeWars Award for Best New Edit

LS, I was thinkin of doing something similar, like wildstar's revenge but using permacorps as aliens, Ground Zero, Kraaken, Boo, and Flying Aces. I am done with the alien name files but now I am working on th ship name files.

I made this spreadsheet when I was working on my edit. The stock planets are on the second sheet for comparison.
