The "Monthly Challenge Tourney" is getting a lot of flack, maybe because of the name Tourney.

Why not change it to "Invitational" with the possibility of tournament mode turned on. So it's not perceived as an "Annual Tournament" but rather as an invitational game that I dunno, may or may not have tournament mode turned on. That's the host's prerogative.

Just an idea to maybe help make the game more inviting and less intimidating.

Maybe you could help by using the Facebook page to promote it. All I see now are you promoting your own games.

Yes but only you and john can do it as TW2002 acct and so TW2002 promotes Crunchers server and no one elses.

What I am saying is promote it using the TW2002 acct, its not supposed to be for Cruncher's promotions only, its supposed to encompass TW, not just cruncher's server

There are other servers out there running V2, Vid and V'ger to name 2. But they way it comes across is that the FB Page is promoting your server/games. If you're going to promote using the admin account should be promoting all games/tournies or you login as your individual account to promote only your own.... I think that is what Helix is saying?

AND I just realized, while verifying the TWGS for each sysop, that TheBountyHunter is running a v2.20b twgs. Thats good because we want to promote TW across the board, not isolate any parts of it.

Helix, what I still haven't wrapped my head around is:

If I had a choice, I would use my own avatar on that page when promoting my games. Any admin is forced to be represented by the same Avatar, unless FB has given us more options, I'll have to look. That's why JP and I almost always put our "initials" after our posts.

Looks like we're smoothing out the rough edges and coming up with a great plan to promote TW. As Admin on the FB page I can post the over-all concept, dates and servers. It would be nice if the individual hosts would reply in the thread welcoming players as well, with maybe a little about themselves and why they decided to get involved in this promotion.
