any idea what causes blackholes (in tw) or how to fix them ?

They are generally pretty rare. A rebang fixes them.

Never ever found one. I think you can fix it from the sector editor in TEdit. Simply edit the Adjacent sector pointers to create a warp out (to Sector 100, for example), then edit sector 100, warp data to add which ever sector number was the black hole. This is basically how Stardock is 'moved' adjacent fed space

This is from the TW Manual forum

Black Holes are sectors that have one or more ways in, but no way out. These are created manually by the SysOp or GameOp, as the games default settings do not allow these anomalies to occur. Once a player enters one, either with a planet or ship it will no longer be able to leave that sector, although the player will still be able to Xport themselves into another ship.

I guess these are not true blackholes then.. Cause they have No warps in.. but do have warps out.

You can fix them manually but the safest bet is a rebang. Some times in an active game, where a rebang is not an option, ask the players if they are okay with editing the sectors. My game B on v1 has 1 sector that doesnt have a warp in (and there are a handful of sectors behind it) but the players decided to leave it alone since it affects both teams the same. You can always talk to the CEOs and see what they want to do.

I think you might be seeing a one-way warp into a dead-end sector.

I don't believe TWGS is capable of banging a true black hole. We would find them from time to time in the old HVS MBBS version but I've not see one yet in TWGS.

If you try using the graphic maps in Swath, you'll be able to visualize the one-way warps.

Im not sure what you are saying.

If its a one way warp into a dead end sector, wouldn't that be a "single sector"?

This has NO warps into a bubble.
In observer mode I can make my way in. Once in, I can get out normally.

How do you make your way into the bubble? Observer mode t-warp?

The sector you think may be a black hole, have you tried plotting a course from Terra to this sector without having any sectors on avoid? If you cannot plot a course to this sector, then you may very well have a black hole.

The fix would be as others have described, going into tedit and editing a sector to have a warp to this sector.
