Is SWATH still purchasable? Looks like the web site hasn't been updated in a couple years. Just came back after a 4 year hiatus... and my version of ATTAC seems to not work very well.

Yes, 1.9.8 is the latest release. It works with the 30k universes.

Yes, and it is still in active development, look for a v2 in the spring. Buying a license is easy and quick

I don't use SWATH. I have, however, noticed over the years that Stein has always been particularly, scrupulously careful to address any problems with it that had been drawn to his attention.

Yes, you can furb yourself as long as the MF's are personal, not corp owned.

I'm glad you find my site friendly, I hope you enjoy your time playing there.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

sadly in the time it took me waiting for this SWATH registration to go through I *re* learned how to use TWPROXY, anyone recommend a simple telnet front to go along, using PuTTYtel atm...anyone suggest something better?

also based on how PuTTYtel looks can anyone confirm is ATTAC using PuTTYtel source code?

i am pretty sure ATTAC uses PUTTy source.

I use ZOC as my front end terminal. It has buttons i can customize and keyboard configurations you can change.

Never used Zoc. How do the keyboard configurations work?

Thanks for the help, everyone has been really friendly here. I think I used to use ZOC so I will give it another go. If I remember right it's pretty lite.

So what kind of games are most popular right now? I think I'm kinda fond of the 800-1000 turn classic games right now.

I favor Telix SALT, very similar to C, excellent string manipulation, also supports DDE. Qmodem is also very good. Both of them are complied. ZOC is more or less O/S2 REXX, nothing wrong with ZOC , I just don't like it much for some reason. TWX I dislike, no rational excuse.

Very few games around 800-1K turns now. I share your preference for them.

microblaster.net is a good site to check, it's down temporarily right now.

http://wiki.classictw.com/index.php?tit ... gate_-_All also lists active servers.

And of course there's my site (shameless plug!)
