Cruncher conceeded somewhat graciously, but to put forth a scenario, what if Cruncher's corp had beaten Ground Zero? What do you think these discussions would have been like then? How much input do you think Helix would have put into the discussion that would have been much worse even though he wasn't even part of the game? As Cruncher has said a number of times, there will be pregame and postgame banter. That's just Tradewars, so get used to it people.

Sorry if I'm a bit terse this morning- it is Monday and all Hell has broken out in the server room.

I'm not into what if's. I am into what happened.
Banter is fine when kept civil.
Even Mike Tyson had nice things to say after he got his arse handed to him, especially considering his pre-fight smack talk included his assertion that he would "Eat his children".

Yes, a lot of people that lose tend to tone down thier attitudes some. It sort of gives that "wounded dog with a limp" effect. It gets sympathy from the crowd.

Yup, we have a weird affinity for underdogs, and we don't like bullies or sore winners.

Keep on playing version 2 then, it's perfect for noobie players like you.

This was just a practice game, but in a Tournament there is no player swapping. You commit with the players you come with. Chaos wanted to play red, when with his connection he would have been better suited to play farmer. I will always encourage players to stretch themselves and not get pigeoned holed into a position just for the sake of winning.

This is a game, we play hard, and we play to win. But, we also allow people to choose how and what position they want to play. This is how we learn, and this is how we have fun.

But most importantly, this is how we grow the player base. I've heard players who have been "trained" on a perma-corp who only felt as if they were nothing but a bot. They weren't allowed to run their own turns because winning a game was more important than having fun.

That's not the kind of corp I run.

And who doesnt? Before a tournament we hold several meets leading up to bang, we go over the fine details of an edit find the best winning strategy ( play test if we need to). I ALWAYS ask who wants to play what (red/blue/positions) I could careless who does what, as long as the 4 major goals are achieved cashing, planet work, gridding, and eprobing. Those are the priorities, you do those faster and better then your opponent, you will win the game period!
