Here is the link to the last one played (I dont think there was a touney in 2011) viewtopic.php?f=19&t=25899 It has the rules and the TWA file (which is Sing's original then modified afterward) 15k sectors and 1 k turns. We need John to give us a list of v2 servers that post in the rebang forums for there games. H PS Thanks Micro, one of your links led to the 2009 game and the other to the 2010 game |

There is only one tournament corp that plays on the beta version... I believe that's what he is saying.. Other major corps only play v1 |

Maybe that's a problem that the EIS Invitational can fix. Invite individual players instead of established corps, and organize a draft... |

Sure a draft would be an option for players without teams... But these perma corps have played together for years and are usually really good with their scripts and probably don't want to have players in there corps that aren't the same skill level... So this tourney would have 1 skilled corp and a bunch of newer players... |

One option is to have the number of CEOs determined by the number of players who sign up and picked by whoever runs the tourney or by a vote of the players. The players can be assigned to a CEO on a random basis generated by a script (wrote one a long time ago to do this). This would not be foolproof because the random players assigned to a CEO could all be elite class players (if they exist anymore) - just the luck of the draw. The script is here: viewtopic.php?f=15&t=18410&p=160262&hilit=random+script#p160262 if anyone wants to mess with it...... |

Other major corps only play v1 Actually the way the EIS Invitational is a call to active sysops who post in the rebang forums to send a team to the tourney. Established corps dont matter, per say. I remember the first one I played, sysops sent players who played on their twgs. It was fun (2008, I think) Its an invitational tourney. We could probably go back twelve months in the rebang forum for active sysops and then send out the invitations. H |

V2 isn't even stable enough to play a casual game let alone a tournament ! Any sysops still running V1 interested in hosting it? I would leave the edit and rules the same, corp has to be backed/sent by a server that has posted games in the last year. Takers? |

Sorry, the EIS invitational would be played on the ClassicTW v2.xx server. Why dont you host the Butch invitational and then you can pick the server. H |

That would be a good game. Perhaps v2 would better suit the challenge. Takers? |
