Yes I run kill scripts, no I don't run them AFK. AFK kill scripts get you killed against anyone but a n00b.



From the tone, I guess you got bored and decided to stir up some controversy over here.... But the question wasnt related to the poll. Shouldn't the question be "To use AFK kill scripts or not to use AFK kill scripts? Isn't THAT is the question?" LOL

It depends on what you consider AFK kill scripts.

When I used to play, yea sure I used scripts to kill. but i was at the keys all the time when I ran it. But I never just ran a script and walked off. I was always at the keys. you never run anything unless you are right there when it comes to combat.

but then there is the defence side of it. I have run a script to refill my ship in certain games. but that wasn't a kill script. it was a defending script.

Nothing like running a selective PDROP script and stopping the biggest corp dead in their tracks. I use AFK scripts. whether it's defending or gonig on offensive. Strategy, building, gridding and killing. Isn't that what this games about?

Plus if you are running a bot and your corpies are firing up your AFK scripts it is the same as if you are running them yourself. So I hope Cruncher answered correctly... LOL

SG would run an AFK photon script all the time. He wound up podded so many times running that script AFK that he had an AFK ZDY script in addition to the photon script that would blow the planet when the enemy landed on it. LOL

Ran AFK all the time when I played, just not certain types. Sometimes wrote them on the fly usually more of "wonder what will happen if I try this".

But yes, I have botted a corpie to run saveme when I knew I was the only one at the keys at the time. I haven't killed anyone yet!

The only AFK script that I'll initialize is "foton a" as purely defensive.

When I see players running a "pdrop/foton a" while AFK, I love to mess with them and run their fuel ore down, especially fun when their script has an auto reload photons running, we get to run down their cash too.

It amused me for a while - macro warp in, killfig, dropfig, twarp fed, wash, adjusted for armids etc. Then I got to, wtf, why bother my major orifice playing against a CPU? I more or less stopped playing TW at that time. Nothing against scripts, said that for years, I write them and never play without using them. Like Tweety ( A member of the original Boo! inc., good to see you again bro) though, I only use them when at keys.
